On the one hand, it feels like beating a dead horse to harp on TLC 2015 and its surrounding events so much. On the other hand, that entire angle was handled so poorly that it's worth analyzing when trying to determine just what went wrong in Reigns' rise to stardom.
But of all the mistakes that surrounded that event, the biggest one would have to be WWE's failure to properly build upon the post-match beating that Roman Reigns gave Triple H after he cost Roman the title. Despite the Philadelphia crowd in attendance of this event making it clear that this was a side of Reigns that could win over even his most vocal haters, the very next night Roman was back to his usual ways.
It's not unusual for WWE to book a character or match to please the style of a certain city, but it made no sense to completely abandon this more viscous side of Reigns the night after it led to an incredible moment.
