10 Biggest Ever Heel Vs. Heel WWE Matches

1. The Shield Vs. The Wyatt Family - Elimination Chamber 2014

This is the best match on here, that's for sure. Going into it, the anticipation was huge because The Shield were running roughshod in WWE for about 15 months at that point while The Wyatt Family made a huge impact after about seven months. They were kept apart for the most part until WWE needed something for them to do at the PPV between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, so that led to this match at Elimination Chamber. There might be people reading this saying "The Shield were faces at time" yet if you really think about it the turn wasn't totally complete yet. The thinking was that WWE just wanted to do this huge match between two big stables, let them go all out in the match and let the fans decide who they wanted to support. There were "this is awesome" chants at the start of the match as well as "Let's go Wyatts" and "Let's go Shield" chants. JBL on commentary said the crowd didn't know who to cheer for, but they just wanted to see a fight. That's a good way of summarizing it. They were given 22 minutes in the match, everybody got a chance to look like a star and the action never really slowed down with fighting all over the arena. Towards the end of the match, Wyatt brawled with Ambrose through the crowd, then Harper and Rowan gave Rollins a double Chokeslam through a table for the big spot of the match. That left Reigns alone to deal with the Wyatt Family himself and he couldn't get the job done because Wyatt was able to pin Reigns. It was the match of the year for a lot of people in 2014, myself included. Fans didn't care about rooting for one side or another. They just wanted a great match and that's what they got.
