5. MSK Win Those Belts

Danny Burch's shoulder injury woes meant that NXT had new Tag-Team Champs to crown at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. Before the match started, MSK were positioned as the clear favourites, and they did indeed end up bagging the gold on Wednesday night.

Sometimes, the obvious booking is also the right booking.

Wes Lee and Nash Carter have been a stand out team on the brand for a while now, so this is a well-deserved shunt up the ladder. Creative's next big test will be establishing some heel teams to take them on - The Grizzled Young Veterans could fill that slot easily. Sure, that foursome has worked extensively, but they always smoke it in-ring together.

Seeing Carter "mark out" and refer to MSK as the best tag-team on the planet post-win felt meaningful too. He had emotion written all over his face, and clearly coveted those belts as proof that he and Wes had made it to the big time.

Good times.
