It says everything for TakeOver: Stand & Deliver that this NXT Title switch falls so early on the list, but there you have it. Karrion Kross got another bite at the cherry post-injury, and Finn Bálor's run as Wednesday's (soon to be Tuesday's) top man is over.

This is WWE's way of resuming what they started last August.

Bálor vs. Kross was naturally different to Finn's last TakeOver title defence against Pete Dunne. That Vengeance Day scorcher was built around technical warfare, whereas this was largely smash mouth. Karrion did show off his selling chops throughout though, which was rather unexpected but definitely welcome.

The big story here is that Kross is the new titleholder. It's time for he and Scarlett to make up for lost time and show WWE why they were so keen to stick the belt on in him in the first place. NXT has a new leading light.

Fall 'n pray, and all that.
