Rhea Ripley ended her first WrestleMania experience by screaming in feigned agony and tapping out to Charlotte Flair's 'Figure-Eight'. The now ex-NXT Women's Champion didn't lose any face by doing so; it's obvious that WWE like Ripley, and they'll have high hopes she can eventually become the female division's top star.

Flair is NXT bound too, which frees up some minutes on Raw for others. The result might've p*ssed off a few who wished to see Rhea win, but it's not a total disaster for her, the championship or the Wednesday night show as a brand. NXT has gained a major star by acquiring Charlotte.

It was a shock to see Ripley tap though.

Some on Twitter guessed that Flair would capitalise with a quick roll up or maybe pay homage to her father by cheating her way to victory. That didn't happen. She won cleanly, definitively and with her submission finish.
