The Big Show was on a quest to become a Superstar, note the capital 's', in the WWE and saw spreading his wings and becoming a number of different superstars the best way to do that. He was trying to show the powers that be that he was an entertainer and a bonafide WWE Superstar that belonged in the company. We saw Show take on the modicum of The Big Valshowski (Val Venis), Showkishi (Rhikishi) and Shownan The Barbarian before his version of Hulk Hogan, The Showster, arrived at Backlash 2000. Kurt Angle, meanwhile, loved wearing gold and wanted to add the WWF Tag Team Championships to add to his collection. Show was picked as his partner but proceeded to come to the ring as a Scottish Drunk, not taking the match seriously and eventually ended Angle's dream of winning more gold.
