3. The World Championship Scene

The Universal Title has suffered from Finn Balor’s injury and Triple H’s involvement in the Kevin Owens/Seth Rollins feud, but it’s a brand new title that has plenty of time to recover. Raw’s highly-talented main event crew will find a way to flourish, particularly when Triple H’s spectre is removed from the title hunt while he feuds with Rollins in the lead-up to WrestleMania.

SmackDown’s main eventers have been killing it, however. The World Championship scene has been a blast since the Brand Split, and while Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose’s SummerSlam match didn’t deliver on the fantastic build-up, AJ Styles has shaken things up and taken the World Title to the next level. He’s a tremendous champion, and after years of making his name in TNA and NJPW, he's finally running the show on the world’s biggest stage.

AJ’s matches with Dean Ambrose and John Cena have been excellent across the board. It’s a small title division, but the trio have a great dynamic, and it speaks volumes about their skills as performers that fans still aren’t bored of seeing them face each other. There’s plenty of mileage left in the Cena/Styles/Ambrose triumvirate, and things’ll only get better when the writers decide to throw a new face or two into the division.

After years and years of devaluation, it’s great having a world title that finally means something again.
