10 Biggest Lies In Wrestling

6. WWE Listens To Their Fans

We’ve heard time and time again how WWE says they listen to their fans. Vince McMahon has likened every show they air to having a live test audience to learn from. It seems he decides to not listen or learn most of the time.

You only have to watch one episode of Raw to know that WWE doesn't give a damn about what we want. Roman Reigns is booed more than anyone on the roster. John Cena has been booed mercilessly for years, nobody cares about Braun Strowman, Dean Ambrose has lost the love of the fans, and Seth Rollins wasn’t turned when he came back from injury despite the fans clamoring to cheer him as a top face. Then there’s Kevin Owens, who could be the biggest babyface on the roster if WWE would just allow us to cheer him!

In recent history, we had Daniel Bryan, who should have been shot to the top of the company immediately when he caught fire, but management was dragged kicking and screaming into giving him a decent push. Zack Ryder was getting over with the crowd, and as a nice reward, he was completely buried. Damien Sandow was booted from the company completely, despite picking up crowd reactions that were far more positive in his favor than how he was positioned.

Simply, WWE’s hearing is terrible. They may listen, but only if you put up enough of a fight for a long, long time.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
