10 Biggest Matches WWE Could Book For WrestleMania 33
WWE are running out of time to book John Cena vs. The Undertaker...
Before it was announced, few could have predicted that Shane McMahon would return and face The Undertaker in a Hell In A Cell match at 'Mania 32. Blighted by injuries to top names like John Cena, Seth Rollins and others, WWE were forced to shake things up and bring Shane back into the mix.
Next year, WrestleMania 33 takes place in Orlando, Florida. It'll be genuinely difficult for WWE to top their claims that over 100,000 fans crammed into the AT&T Stadium this year, but there are several big matches they could book to ensure that 'Mania 33 tops 32 inside the ring.
Nobody could have foreshadowed Shane's return to action in time for 'Mania 32, but another match has been pitched time and time again as one The Undertaker simply must have before hanging up the tights.
In addition, what could names like Brock Lesnar, Triple H, Roman Reigns and even The New Day be doing come April 2, 2017?
Let's analyse a possible card for WrestleMania 33, looking at what matches WWE should think about planning...
10. Big Show Vs. Shaq
At WrestleMania 32, both Shaquille O'Neal and The Big Show were entrants in the yearly Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Neither man would end up winning, that distinction would go to Baron Corbin, but Shaq and Show's confrontation was the most memorable aspect of the match.
Afterwards, it became clear that WWE are interested in booking a match between the two men down the line.
In terms of physical size, this is literally the biggest match the company can hope to book for 'Mania 33. There's history there between the giants. Back in 2009, Shaq worked the 'Guest Host' spot on Monday Night Raw and interacted with Big Show.
From a marquee standpoint, this is a celebrity match that works. Big Show is best-suited to such situations these days, and the history between he and O'Neal means there's enough for WWE to work with when promoting the showdown.
To the media, both have been found mouthing off about the other man. If Shaq vs. Show doesn't take place at SummerSlam, it's a shoe-in for WrestleMania.
