10 Biggest Mismatches In Wrestling History

9. Ric Flair vs Vader

If your only introduction to Vader is his WWF stint, you missed out on one of the scariest, most dominant wrestlers to ever step foot in a wrestling ring. On multiple occasions people would see their names on the schedule to face Vader that day only to leave the building instead, wanting no part of facing him and the violence that was going to come their way. Ric Flair had just returned to WCW after a brief time with the WWF and he had come back as a returning hero. And with Vader as the WCW Champion, their paths would inevitably cross, but Flair was approaching the age of 45 by the time Starrcade 1993 rolled around. As good as he was, how would he stop what was supposed to be unstoppable? Vader had spent 1993 beating the likes of Sting, Cactus Jack and Davey Boy Smith: or in other words, men all younger and stronger than Flair was. Flair was basically billed as the "ultimate underdog" at Starrcade, which is a different role for the man who had won so many World Titles in his career. He was outweighed by a good 200 pounds and certainly was no match in the physicality department, so he would use his intelligence and in-ring skills to dethrone the champion and win the title in what would end up being one of the best matches of either man's career.
