10 Biggest Mismatches In Wrestling History

5. JBL & Hornswoggle

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4fkr3_vince-vs-hornswoggle-steel-cage-2-1_sport This is the only entry on the list not to be an actual match: instead it was JBL who interfered in what was supposed to be Vince McMahon vs Hornswoggle (a mismatch all by itself) in a Steel Cage Match. This was during the angle where Hornswoggle was being portrayed as Vince's son and things got convoluted from there. JBL would enter the cage and proceed to destroy 'Swoggle, violently throwing him into the sides of the cage all while Finlay was handcuffed to the steel, unable to make the save. As Finlay screamed for JBL to "take it out on me" JBL continued kicking and tossing Hornswoggle around in front of an uncomfortable crowd. The entire thing was made worse by Hornswoggle being portrayed in storylines as a child, even though he's clearly a "little person" with facial hair: for a while, he even only "spoke" in grunts and noises like an infant. So when he got beat up, it came across almost like child abuse. The live crowd responded less and less with each strike and slam into the cage as you could almost feel them turning on what was happening.
