10 Biggest Missed Opportunities From WWE Draft 2016

7. Not Giving The Club A Chance

The Club stable has been great for AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows alike. For Anderson and Gallows, it’s given them an instant affiliation with one of the roster’s most popular wrestlers, and thrust them straight into high-profile storylines with the likes of Roman Reigns and John Cena. Styles’s heel act, meanwhile, benefits immensely from the strength in numbers brought by his former Bullet Club associates, and the three have excellent on-screen chemistry.

Unfortunately, WWE decided to send them their separate ways last night, with Styles going to SmackDown, and Anderson and Gallows to Raw. While the latter duo have insisted that The Club will divide and conquer rather than split outright, it’s hard to see how this benefits Styles in-particular. While Gallows and Anderson and can now link-up with former Bullet Club leader Finn Balor on Raw, Styles is on his own.

That’s not to say Styles isn’t strong enough to succeed without them, as he’s still one of the best wrestlers on the planet, and someone WWE clearly has big plans for. It’s just disappointing that we’ll never get to see The Club reach full strength with him at the helm. The alliance is only a few months old, and it feels like WWE have cut The Club off at the knees without giving them a chance to hit full flow.
