8. Stephanie McMahon Reveals Daniel Bryan's "Secret"

The McMahon family has historically been the top heels in WWE. It's a tried and true direction and one that the company has used many times in the past. From Stone Cold Steve Austin to The Rock to John Cena, one top Superstar after another has went to war with Vince McMahon's clan. The same was true in 2014 for Daniel Bryan and his wife Brie Bella. Brie had raised the ire of Stephanie McMahon, who made it her mission to not only humiliate Brie but to destroy her in the eyes of the fans that loved her. The crowd did not care about the spot and for many that had moved past such silly angles, the whole thing was just a waste of time. Fans in 2014 are not the same as they were in the 1980's; moments like this one with a character that was not believable did nothing to entertain and even less to further the storyline. It did nothing but perpetuate the notion that pro wrestling is a male soap opera and because of that, it really had no place despite the outlandish antics that fans had seen from the McMahon family before.
