10 Biggest Overselling In Wrestling

1. Shawn Michaels Against Hulk Hogan At SummerSlam 2005

The story of Shawn Michaels being upset with Hulk Hogan for his refusal to put him over after their SummerSlam 2005 is something that has been well documented over the years. Because Michaels was upset about that, he decided to make a bit of a farce out of his main event match with Hogan. Here are some of Shawn's ridiculous bumps in the match that are highlighted in a video that summarizes them: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5bi5e_shawn-michaels-mocks-hulk-hogan-by_sport - When Hulk shoves him, Shawn goes all the way across the ring instead of simply going down. - Following a Hulk shoulder tackle, Shawn bounces 3/4 of the way across the ring and ends up on the floor. It was pretty ridiculous. - Hulk slammed Shawn into the turnbuckle and Shawn sold it by bouncing off from the bottom rope all the way into the middle part of the ring. - Hulk gave Shawn a clothesline over the top, which Shawn sold by doing a forward roll, getting back to his feet and then falling on his face. - Shawn did a bump over the turnbuckle, then as he stood on the apron he took a punch from Hulk and sold it by doing a flip all the way to the floor. - After getting tossed into the ring post, Shawn sold it by going forward a few feet. Usually people either just sell it by going down right away or standing up against the post. - The most ridiculous bump of them all was when Hulk hit the big boot that Shawn sold by taking a flat back bump, then standing up, running around in a circle and falling down on his back. Then he took the Leg Drop to lose the match. That performance by Shawn is likely never going to be topped. It truly was a performance of a lifetime.
