At WrestleMania XIX, The Rock defeated Steve Austin in what was his first 'Mania singles victory over "Stone Cold" and Austin's last match ever - so needless to say, The Rock was in a pretty good mood the following evening. Still in full-on Hollywood heel mode, Rocky addressed the Seattle crowd in the main event segment of Raw, bragging about his accomplishments and showing a video highlighting his career.

Satisfied, The Rock then told the fans that he had done everything he had set out to do and they could kiss his ass. Before he could leave, though, he was interrupted by the music of former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg, who was making his very first appearance in WWE.

Though Goldberg had been off TV for two years, the fans erupted when he came out, when he told The Rock he was "next," and when he flattened the former "People's Champion" with a spear.

That WWE tenure would ultimately turn out worse than it should have for Goldberg, but there's no arguing that it opened with as big a bang as possible.
