8. Triple H Buries Booker T At 'Mania By Stalling

WrestleMania XIX will forever be remembered as the evening on which 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin had his last match. Austin faced The Rock on the supercard, one which is also memorable for a cracking brawl between Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon. One of the other big matches was for the World Heavyweight Championship, with Triple H defending against Booker T. In the lead-up to the bout, Triple H had come across as a colossal racist. Claiming that, "people like Booker" didn't deserve to hold the World Title came across as crass, not to mention wholly unnecessary. The feud came hot on the heels of 'The Game' and Scott Steiner having a botched main event rivalry. At WrestleMania XIX, he struck again, burying another former WCW star. The match itself was fine, but the ending did absolutely nothing for Booker T. Hitting his trademark Pedigree, Triple H took almost 20 seconds to actually hook Booker's leg and pin him for the win. The stalling made Booker look weak, especially when he failed to kick out of the move. Fans were disheartened by the babyface's lack of fight, and Triple H flexed his power arrogantly. The very build-up to the bout demanded that Booker would be difficult to beat, but Triple H nixed that idea, easily beating him.
