10 Biggest Promises WWE Broke In 2021

8. MITB = Guaranteed New Star Maker

There was a time when winning Money In The Bank signified elite status, or at least an attempt to make the chosen wrestler(s) a permanent part of the top line crew. That's not the case in 2021; MITB is a tired trope that could really do with being shelved, and the winners of this year's versions prove it.

Well, one of them does.

Thus far, it's hard to argue with Big E's push towards the top. He traded MITB for the WWE Title, and has become a long-term focal point on Raw. WWE seem genuinely interested in pushing him for good, which is great, but the same cannot be said for the women's side.

Nikki A.S.H won the briefcase, cashed it in and then held the Raw Women's Title for a measly 33 days. Since then, she's been move out of the title conversation, got plopped in a random tag-team with Rhea Ripley and has been doing lowly jobs aplenty.

That MITB sheen has faded.
