10 Biggest Stories From IMPACT's Slammiversary And What They Mean Going Forward

5. Su Yung The Bride; Madison Rayne The Bridesmaid

Su Yung and her demonic nature have been the scourge of the Knockouts division ever since she captured the championship back in May. Meanwhile, the division’s former top brass, Madison Rayne, found her way back into title contention following a series of victories over the aforementioned Tessa Blanchard. Unfortunately for Rayne, Su Yung and her ever-evil bridesmaids made quick work of the former champ at Slammiversary.

Despite some missteps during the match, Yung continues to reign supreme over IMPACT’s division of female wrestlers. An ill-timed poison mist missed its intended target of Madison and nearly cost Yung her title. However, her crippling mandible claw was eventually locked in to secure the victory. But most upsetting was what took place following the contest, as Su Yung and her bridesmaids laid Madison to rest within a coffin before carrying it out of the arena.

Perhaps the quick victory and devilish burial will signal the end of Madison’s Knockouts division tenure — as she has already accumulated over ten years in the business and nearly as many Knockout titles. However, Rayne may chillingly return alongside the other bridesmaids under the guise of Yung’s hypnotic powers. Only time will tell what has really come of Madison Rayne. As for Su Yung, she has proven time and again what she’s willing to do to hold onto her title. She'll likely have to make use of those tricks in the future, as there are numerous women on IMPACT’s roster that would love a shot at the Knockouts Championship.
