10 Biggest Stories From IMPACT's Slammiversary And What They Mean Going Forward

3. LAX's Turf War Erupts In Bloody Chaos

LAX returned to IMPACT Wrestling last year, again under the tutelage of Konnan but featuring a new and younger tag team completing the dirty work. Santana and Ortiz overcame Sami Callihan’s oVe, but Slammiversary proved their toughest challenge yet. King — a newcomer to IMPACT but an apparent man from Konnan’s past — led the original LAX team of Homicide and Hernandez to battle with the group’s newest incarnation. Dubbed the OGz, they vied for LAX's tag titles in an all-out war on Sunday.

The 5150 Street Fight saw everyone crash through tables and off of ladders during the bout, as it swiftly became a violent, heated, and bloody affair. In the end, Santana secured the victory for the Konnan contingent following an attack on Homicide with thumbtacks. However, it was the chaos afterwards which has left fans talking. King and the OGz quickly retaliated by beating down the group and spray-painting their name on the title belts. It seems that Slammiversary did not mark the end of this intense blood feud.

King and the OGz may have lost the battle in Toronto but they continue their attempt to win the war. When they laid out Konnan with his own patented slapjack, it was an emphatic statement that things weren’t over. The question on everyone’s minds is how will LAX retaliate? Surely the group will be looking to take back their titles — as the rightful owners and current champions — from the OGz who defaced and stole them.
