Having only made the graduation out of the Junior Heavyweight Tag division earlier this year, The Young Bucks have already proven their ability amongst larger competitors. At Long Beach, CA’s Strong Style Evolved, the former seven-time junior tag title holders were bested by the Golden Lovers of Omega and Ibushi. Still, the Young Bucks showed their worth in their debut heavyweight outing.

At yesterday’s Dominion they challenged EVIL and SANADA of Los Ingobernables de Japon for the heavyweight tag division’s top prize. The match saw an all-out fight from everyone involved and while the Bucks looked strong early, Nick Jackson’s lingering foot issues plagued the team. While the LIJ contingent was able to capitalize for a while, the Bucks regained control after a Magic Killer double team -- paying homage to former stablemates, Gallows and Anderson. Following a pair of superkicks and their own patented tag finisher, the Young Bucks were able to dethrone the defending heavyweight champs.

The Young Bucks will surely have their hands full going forward with an abundance of potential challengers to their newly won gold. Surely, Los Ingobernables -- namely EVIL and SANADA -- will again make their voices heard. Matt and Nick may even again see competition with their friend Kenny Omega and his partner Kota Ibushi -- though it may be a bit friendlier than last time.
