8. Mysterious Challenger Coming For Juice Robinson's US Title
Juice Robinson's fun-loving attitude has captured the hearts and admiration of many Japanese fans, but the reigning United States Champion was confronted by an eerie and cryptic video message at Wrestling Dontaku. Robinson--along with a collection of CHAOS members--managed to defeat the Bullet Club in six and eight-man tag competition on Friday and Saturday. However, both wins were quickly dampened when a video played declaring "Time's Up".
The mysterious figure shown therein was seen to be sitting at a seedy bar while footage of Juice played on the TV screen behind him. Adorned in a leather jacket featuring a Union Jack patch as well as carrying a knife and broken beer bottle, much speculation has begun as to the mystery challenger's identity.
Some fans seem to think all of the signs point to UK star Chris Brookes who has built up his name and reputation in recent years as part of New Japan's promotional partner, Revolution Pro. Other names mentioned have included the UK's Chris Ridgeway and even Tomoyuki Oka who has been on excursion in RevPro. While it's unclear who is coming on 5 June, it's no mystery they will immediately target Juice and his US belt.
