Sunday’s pay-per-view featured a tournament to crown a new National Heavyweight Champion with two first round qualifying contests held early in the night. The two four-man elimination bouts saw Willie Mack and Samuel Shaw emerge victorious en route to the championship finals.
The first bout saw Samuel Shaw, Scorpio Sky, Sammy Guevara, and former NWA Worlds Champion Colt Cabana do battle. Shockingly, Cabana was the first man eliminated following a top rope powerbomb by Shaw. Guevara then unloaded with a flurry of death-defying dives, but was eventually pinned by Scorpio. However, Sky was immediately vanquished when Shaw superkicked him for the win.
Later, Willie Mack, Mike Parrow, Jay Bradley, and Ricky Starks went to war. Parrow exchanged blows with Bradley, but the three-hundred pounder was eliminated by a surprise rollup from Starks. Bradley then fell to a powerbomb and splash combo from Starks and Mack. With a stunner to the remaining Starks, Mack claimed the victory and advanced on.
A disgruntled Bradley then attacked Willie following the bout. Shaw watched on happily before James Ellsworth came down to put a stop to the beating. Still, Mack's chances of winning had seemingly been squashed thanks to Bradley.
