Leading up to Sunday’s event, Peter Avalon had been constantly bashing former NWA Worlds Champion Tim Storm. These two stars had previously met in heated battles, including in an Empty Arena Match at Universal Studios in Orlando. In Nashville, however, Storm set out to finally humble the braggadocios youngster. Just prior to the start of the match, Storm announced that the loser would have to kiss his opponent's foot.
The fifty-three year-old veteran dominated most of the bout, but the tables were later turned thanks to a distraction from Avalon’s manager, Niko Marquez. However, "Pretty" Peter's overconfidence ended up costing him when he accidentally struck Marquez allowing him to be planted with a Perfect Storm side slam. After the bout, Avalon attempted to wriggle his way out of kissing Storm’s foot, instead forcing Marquez to do so. The former NWA champ wasn’t satisfied, however, and physically forced Avalon to do the deed.
After humiliating his "Pretty" opponent, Tim Storm is the clear victor in this months-long battle. Perhaps, he may now look to work his way back into contention for the Worlds title.
Meanwhile, Avalon could possibly rebuild his reputation by challenging for the new National Championship.
