10 Biggest Surprises Of Lucha Underground Season 4 (So Far... )
2. Graver Consequences
Fenix had been one of the major players in Lucha Underground since Season 1, becoming the first triple crown champion in the promotion, and going to war with the likes of Mil Muertes and Marty the Moth.
Jeremiah Crane, meanwhile, had quickly built a reputation for awesome, brutal matches as the Lucha Death Machine, bludgeoning opponents with anything and everything in sight, and only pausing to take a full lap around the ring before cannonballing into a bloodied foe.
So it was a major surprise to see both fan favorite characters wiped out in the same match by Lucha Underground's masked deadman.
After all, we'd seen Mil come back from death before, so it seemed a lock for Fenix to survive. But no such luck.
Crane went out in fitting fashion after an Ivelisse run-in, but Fenix's finale felt like a storyline cut short, not only ending his relationship with ring announcer Melissa Santos, but restoring Catrina to life, resolving one of the show's longest-running plotlines.
