9. Cesaro

Cesaro’s fans have spent the last couple of years pining for a sizeable singles push for the Swiss Superman, but for all his skill as a solo performer, the bulk of Cesaro’s success has come as a tag team wrestler. The current Raw Tag Team Champion currently finds himself positioned as one of his brand’s most prominent acts (with Sheamus), but his tag wrestling excellence extends well into his past.

Cesaro and Tyson Kidd were champions prior to Kidd’s neck horrific injury, and Cesaro was part of one of independent wrestling’s most important tag teams prior to joining WWE. As the Kings of Wrestling, Cesaro and Chris Hero were nothing short of dominant, picking up countless titles and tournament wins across the globe, and featuring prominently for organisations as diverse as Ring Of Honor, Chikara, and Combat Zone Wrestling.

Prior to that, Cesaro teamed with fellow Swiss wrestler Ares across the United States and Europe, notching up multiple tag titles on both sides of the Atlantic. In total, Cesaro has an impressive 16 tag team title reigns to his name, marking him as one of the greatest tag wrestlers of his generation. That elusive WWE Championship run may never come, but Cesaro’s tag team record is truly enviable.
