Last week on Smackdown, Eva Marie versus Becky Lynch wasn't the only women's match that didn't get underway. Carmella was supposed to make her Smackdown debut, taking on Natalya, but the former Divas' Champion attacked "The Princess of Staten Island" before she got to the ring, preventing the bout from taking place.

This week, their match was rescheduled, and Natalya once again tried to beat up Carmella in the aisle before the bout could start. This time, though, the recent NXT call-up intercepted the attack, throwing Natalya in the ring and starting the match.

Natalya took most of the match, laying a beating on her less experienced foe. In the end, though, Carmella countered the Sharpshooter attempt with the Code of Silence, catching Natalya and forcing her to tap out. While this wasn't the most auspicious debut, it was still nice to see Carmella and Alexa Bliss pick up wins in their Smackdown arrivals. Even with Eva Marie, this could be a strong division.
