10 Biggest Things WWE Stole From WCW

5. The World Heavyweight Championship

After the Invasion angle had been put to rest, and Vince McMahon found himself with two rosters-worth of people signed to his company, he realized change needed to be made. Once it was decided that Raw and SmackDown would be opposing brands and each turned into their own show, everything was split up. Between sets, commentators, authority figures, and rosters, all of the company's assets were split down the middle and pushed to one side or the other, including championships.

Since WWE only had their WWE Championship, and SmackDown General Manager Stephanie McMahon declared that Brock Lesnar would be defending that title exclusively on the blue brand, Raw was left without a World Championship.

Enter Eric Bischoff.

After shockingly being announced as Raw's General Manager, Eric Bischoff came out to address the World Championship situation by crowning Triple H World Champion. What belt did they decide to go with? The WCW World Heavyweight Championship, which was shortened to just the World Heavyweight Championship.

Quite literally, WWE straight up stole the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and just dropped "WCW"...

...brilliant.
