Sin Cara may seem out of place on this list, but it was Triple H's influence that led to him coming into WWE in 2011.

Less than a year removed from getting more backstage responsibilities, he was just settling into his new role when he brought in Sin Cara. It was touted as Triple H's first major signing, and given that Mistico was already an established worldwide phenomenon, it was easy to see how his experiment would be a success.

However, one of the first of the many mistakes management would make with Sin Cara was not sending him to developmental to learn the WWE style first. Instead, he was fast-tracked to the main roster where he failed miserably. He had an unspectacular outing in his debut and it was all downhill from there.

Needless to say, Sin Cara's first year in WWE was a disappointing one that included a a string of subpar matches, a 30-day Wellness Policy suspension and an injury. When he returned he never managed to bounce back from all the momentum that he had lost.

The Sin Cara character is still around today but with Hunico under the mask as Mistico was released in early 2014. Thus, Triple H's first test as a corporate executive was perceived as a flop.
