10 Biggest Unification Matches In Wrestling History

7. WWF/WCW Tag Team Championships (2001)

This entry is two-fold, so give it a chance. First we start with Diamond Dallas Page and Chris Kanyon. The real life best buds won the WWF Tag Team Championships from The APA and would go on to feud The Brothers Of Destruction, who had themselves recently won the WCW Tag Team Championships from The Natural Born Thrillers. The two teams met in a cage is what was nothing more than a glorified squash match at SummerSlam. The Undertaker and Kane picked up the win and held both sets of titles although they would be defend them separately. Then, fast forward a few months and The Dudley Boyz were the WWF tag champs and the Hardys the WCW champs. The teams faced off in a steel cage at Survivor Series 2001 with the Dudleys coming out on top and unifying the two championships. With Matt Hardy on the floor, all Jeff needed to do was climb to the floor. However, and in keeping with his Charismatic Enigma gimmick, once he made his way to the top of the cage he couldn't resist performing a Swanton Bomb towards D-Von Dudley, who was laid out on a table. D-Von moved, Hardy crashed through the table and Bubba pinned him for the 1-2-3.
