10 Biggest Unification Matches In Wrestling History

5. Jerry Lawler vs. Kerry Von Erich - AWA/WCCW Championships

AWA Champion Jerry The King Lawler faced WCCW Champion Kerry Von Erich with the winner of the match claiming both titles. The finish of the match is one of the most famous in wrestling history, as Kerry was deemed unable to continue following severe blood loss. The new unified title would become the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Title even though the AWA would strip Lawler of their title, and WCCW would eventually close in 1991. AWA would also close the same year. The USWA title would be confined to Memphis before that company died as well.
