7. Pat McAfee - NXT

Pat McAfee just gets it. Every movement he makes oozes a natural charisma that is so eminently dislikeable that Adam Cole, a top heel on NXT for years, has been able to smoothly transition into a babyface in a matter of months.

Making his in-ring debut at Takeover XXX, McAfee backed his promo skill up, delivering a quality performance with an assured swagger. While some strive for years to perfect the level of psychology needed to create a top-tier heel, McAfee has managed it in a handful of appearances.

WWE appear to be just as confident in McAfee’s abilities as the sports analyst is in his own, as on the October 21 edition of NXT, McAfree established a new stable, comprising of Oney Lorcan, Danny Burch and (later) Pete Dunne. The fact that McAfee has become the mouthpiece of a group that has a combined experience of 38 years in the wrestling industry is staggering. It is commonplace for a good speaker to be put with a wrestler who lacks mic skill, but McAfee providing this service for three other wrestlers, while elevating them to the main event of Wargames 2020, is a testament to his natural gift for the business.
