9. Randy Savage Severely Injures Charles Robinson With A Flying Elbowdrop (5/17/1999 - WCW Monday Nitro)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOlyt2b0E3E WCW's the company where David Arquette won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. So of course, it must also be the company too where a match needed to take place where Randy Savage and Madusa needed to wrestle Ric Flair and referee turned "Lil Naitch" Charles Robinson. Of course, in the annals of referees turned wrestlers, there's mid-80s WWF heel referee "Dangerous" Danny Davis. He set the bar pretty high, with cancer-stricken WCW referee Brian "Mark Curtis" Hildebrand (who ironically passed away in September, 1999) being a great in-ring hand who did a bit of wrestling himself in Smoky Mountain Wrestling. Sadly, Charles Robinson does not follow in that tradition. In this mixed tag matchup, there are literally hundreds of different potential finishes. On 100 different levels, the one finish that makes the least sense is to have Randy Savage deliver a flying elbowdrop to Charles Robinson. Of course, that's what happened, and given that Robinson was the one guy least able to protect himself, he received a collapsed lung, broken ribs and crushed vertebrae in his back from taking the finisher. Once again, oh, WCW.
