Ryback entered the ring with Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens in hopes of regaining the belt that he lost to him, but it wasn't meant to be for the Big Guy. Kevin defeated his foe and retained the title. After following a mostly non-exciting WWE World Heavyweight Championship match, this one wasn't that much more of a pick me up. Thankfully, it didn't drag on too long and Owens got to the Popup Powerbomb to finish Ryback off efficiently. The good news for Owens is unlike the match in which he won the belt, he didn't need to rake any eyes to get the victory on this night. This more decisive win legitimizes his reign sightly more and hopefully there's some quality competition on deck for him.
