4. Alexa Bliss

Speaking of unbelievable developments, you would have been given long odds on Alexa Bliss becoming the first woman to win both the SmackDown and RAW Women's Championships. But that is exactly what Bliss did when she defeated Bayley for the WWE RAW Women's Championship at WWE Payback.

Alexa Bliss was the 47th overall pick in the WWE Draft, a surprisingly high slot for a fairly unproven commodity. Bliss was chosen above former champions like Alicia Fox, Primo & Epico and Curtis Axel. She was drafted on potential, but many believed that her size and inexperience would work against her.

Of all the individuals drafted last July, it is Bliss who has most exceeded expectations. Even the most optimistic of Bliss fans would not have expected the Wicked Witch of WWE to enjoy the success she has, winning two SmackDown Women's Championships and a single RAW equivalent.

One year ago, Bliss was an NXT prospect. 12 months later, she is the top female in the entire company.
