10 Biggest Winners Of The 2016 WWE Draft (One Year Later)

3. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman was drafted relatively late, the 48th pick, chosen after stars such as Alexa Bliss, The Ascension, Summer Rae, Darren Young and Sin Cara. At the time, this seemed like a fairly accurate position for the inexperienced Strowman. Braun was bloated, green and directionless. All he had going for him was that he was big and willing to learn.

Fast forward 12 months, and Braun Strowman is arguably the best booked individual in the entire company. Strowman squashed opponent after opponent on RAW, before moving into a feud with Sami Zayn. Strowman dominated Zayn, and the Monster Among Men then turned his attentions to The Big Dog himself, Roman Reigns. It was Reigns who gave Strowman his first pinfall loss, but the post-WrestleMania season has seen the Abominable Strowman pick up steam once again.

Without the 2016 draft, there is every chance that Strowman would have continued to mill around as a member of The Wyatt Family and little else. Braun has put a whole heap of work in over the last 12 months, trimming weight and improving his in-ring work. He is one of the company's most improved performers, and his booking has been fantastic.

Would this have happened without the 2016 WWE Draft? Maybe, but more than likely not.
