There may never be another underdog victory in the main event of WrestleMania like Daniel Bryan's in 2014. This was something everybody had wanted for years, and it almost didn't seem real when Bryan held the WWE World Heavyweight Title aloft amid celebrations closing out the show.

It wasn't just a Triple Threat triumph over Randy Orton and Batista that made the moment special; Bryan beating Triple H in the show's opener had fans in attendance willing to believe that maybe, just maybe, WWE would go all the way with their hand-picked hero.

After all the hints that Bryan might never be a top guy in the promotion, what happened at 'Mania XXX felt really good.

Daniel Bryan - Most Disappointing Loss (Vs. Sheamus (WrestleMania XXVIII)

Rewind just two years before his career best moment to find one that must be considered one of Daniel Bryan's worst.

People had already been robbed of seeing Bryan vs. Sheamus on the main card the previous year, so excitement was there to see both guys battle over the World Championship come 'Mania XXVIII. 18 seconds later, Sheamus was celebrating as the new champion and Bryan was left in a crumpled heap on the mat.

The disappointing thing here was that WWE didn't allow Bryan to wrestle. Shaving a few minutes from the bland Divas tag match later in the card wouldn't have hurt, and neither would borrowing some time from the interminable John Cena vs. The Rock main event. Instead, the company wanted to make Sheamus 'the guy' - regardless of the fans' wishes.
