Hulk Hogan's 2002 return was a landmark moment that proved just how hot wrestling fans were for nostalgia. Hulk looked like a megastar when he was embraced by audiences despite being part of the villainous nWo, and that only made The Rock's win over him at 'Mania X-8 even bigger.

For all the title victories that Rocky experienced during his career, nothing could have come close to standing face-to-face with Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania in front of a rapturous crowd hanging on to every movement.

Having grown up during an era of Hogan's dominance in the 1980s, The Rock must have had chills running up and down his spine upon being told that he'd be getting the pinfall win with his trademark People's Elbow.

The Rock - Most Disappointing Loss (Vs. Triple H, WrestleMania 2000)

WrestleMania 2000 marked the first time that a heel champion had ended the then-WWF's biggest show of the year by winning, and that will forever be looked upon as an error in judgement by those in charge.

Triple H shouldn't have escaped a Fatal-4-Way elimination-style match with the WWF Title still around his waist. That was a mistake, because it was The Rock's time to blow the roof off the place and beat 'The Game' for the gold.

Rocky had won the Royal Rumble and people were eager to see him win again here. Although it's true that he did take the belt from Triple H at Backlash after WrestleMania, it was without doubt a disappointment that The Rock didn't become WWF Champ at 'Mania 2000.
