7. Michael Cole Defeats Jerry "The King" Lawler - WrestleMania 27
Enjoying his heyday in Memphis back in the territory era of wrestling, Jerry "The King" Lawler finally seemed to be on the brink of his elusive 'WrestleMania moment' when matched up against reviled heel announcer Michael Cole at Wrestlemania 27. It was a no-brainer for the WWE; have Lawler destroy Cole with ease, make the fans happy, and finally grant a legend his long-awaited win on the biggest show of the year. Steve Austin was even made the special guest referee to give the ensuing celebrations a little extra bite. Instead, the baffling decision was made to award Cole a disqualification victory, on the basis that Austin was a biased official. The shock result pleased nobody, with fans left deeply unsatisfied that the most obviously popular course of action was avoided. Even Stone Cold's customary post-match beatdown of Cole and his lackeys failed to provide a true sense of closure. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x139zgk_jerry-lawler-vs-michael-cole-wrestlemania-27-part-1_sport
