10 Biggest Wrestling Belt Controversies

5. The Rock's "Lost Title"

Steve Austin, John Cena, Edge, Daniel Bryan and others have all received personalised WWE Title designs that fit their characters. They were almost joined by The Rock after 'The Great One' won the belt in 2000, but things got sketchy pretty quick when the company ordered a new 'Brahma Bull' motif.

Joe Marshall, the guy who made the thing, said it got lost in the mail.

Marshall claims that someone working for FedEx misplaced the thing, but says his assistant Brian Kennedy can confirm that it was eventually delivered. Maybe that didn't sit well with Vince McMahon, because he ended up scrapping the idea and Rocky's customised title would never debut on television.

As a result, belt marks often refer to it as the "lost title". It's unknown whether or not the company got cold feet when the title didn't arrive on time, or if they just changed direction and decided against it. For the record, you can buy a replica of this "lost title" on WWE Shop.
