Everything about the Lita/Kane/Matt Hardy situation during the summer of 2004 was bizarre. The fact that Kane decided he fancied Lita out of the blue was weird and the later revelation that Lita was pregnant (with Kane's child) and the resultant miscarriage was a little too soap operaish, even by wrestling's standards. Matt and Kane competed in a 'Til Death Do Us Part' match at SummerSlam, with the winner marrying Lita. Kane won the match and the wedding was sat for Raw the following week. It was never going to go off without a hitch. The ceremony itself was the definition of bizarre. WWE had dwarves wearing grotesque makeup walk down the ramp and throw flowers. Kane wore an all-white tuxedo. Trish Stratus came out halfway through wearing little more than lingerie. It was a typical pro-wrestling wedding, really. Matt Hardy came out and attacked Kane in an attempt to stop the wedding but was ultimately overpowered and chokeslammed off the stage. Kane then lay a big kiss on his new wife. How sweet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3REfqJv-aKg
