Bret Hart certainly put a shift in at the 1993 King Of The Ring, wrestling three long and very different matches against Razor Ramon, Mr. Perfect and Bam Bam Bigelow on his way to winning the tournament. It was one of the better King Of The Rings as far as excitement and match quality go and Bret was a deserved winner. As he was going to the podium to accept his crown, however, he was interrupted by another King in the form of Jerry Lawler. After calling him 'The Burger King', Lawler snapped and attacked Bret Hart with the sceptre. It was a shocking end to the pay-per-view and set up the memorable Bret/Lawler feud. Bret revealed afterwards that Lawler really stiffed him with the sceptre shot injuring his back and causing him great discomfort for several months.
