Okay, first of all, who names a potential monster "The Colossus of Boggo Road"? Well, Nathan Jones wasn't exactly a passionate wrestling fan who trained his whole life to make it into the sport. Actually, at that point he had spent a good chunk of his life locked up, when he served seven years in an Australian prison for a string of armed robberies. When he got out, he began a bodybuilding career, and developed an incredible, but largely immobile physique. Good enough for Vince! After a relatively small number of matches under his belt, most notably in the Australian promotion WWA, and in ZERO-ONE, he was signed to a WWE contract. He lasted eight televised matches. Jones won the 2003 Wrestling Observer awards for Worst Wrestler and Most Embarrassing Wrestler. He was so bad that WWE didn't trust him enough to participate in the match he was booked for at WrestleMania! Not even The Great Khali and Giant Gonzalez were booted from the biggest match of their careers.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
