10 Biggest WWE Changes Since WrestleMania 31

10. Minor Championships Gained And Lost Prestige

Heading into WrestleMania 31, the near-worthlessness of WWE's minor championships, the United States and Intercontinental Titles, were the topic of much debate, with many believing the titles should be unified to at least create one belt with at least some meaning. Instead, WWE placed the US and IC titles in the hands of John Cena and Daniel Bryan respectively, the company€™s two most popular babyfaces, in a bid to bring back some of the ol' 20th century value to them. And it worked (for a little while, anyway). The events that led to Daniel Bryan's retirement have been well documented, and although the title eventually wound up being in Ryback's hands of all people, Intercontinental Championship matches were interesting throughout most of 2015. As for the United States Championship, it can be universally agreed that John Cena's reign brought back much-needed legitimacy to the once-prestigious belt. Nevertheless, we find ourselves back at square one with the IC title being bounced from Dean Ambrose to Kevin Owens to further other stories, and Cena's US strap being lost cheaply to Alberto Del Rio, resulting in a game of Mexican 'Pass the Parcel' between Del Rio and Kalisto. In the space of a year, the reputation of both titles significantly increased only to become less interesting than a Social Outcasts promo.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
