10 Biggest WWE Changes Since WrestleMania 31

6. Divas Are Wrestlers

Not only has the landscape of the Divas division changed since WrestleMania 31, this is the first time since before the Attitude Era that WWE's females competitors are gaining recognition for being actual wrestlers. The involvement of women on WWE programming in the late 90s was limited to scrappy cat fights and plenty of skin showing, with the women's division existing solely to keep the young male audience watching. Although WWE eventually allowed the renamed Divas division some clothing, the majority of performers were ex-models that couldn't put together three minutes of competent, let along entertaining wrestling. Now that NXT is flourishing and WWE is offering more than a five-minute segment on its three-hour flagship show, the division is slowly becoming a highlight and has provided much entertainment as of late. It seems the days of throwing as many Divas into the ring and seeing what happens are now gone, with genuine performers in Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks emerging on top of the division heading into WrestleMania 32. Further than WWE, the NXT Women's Championship is being contested between Bayley and Asuka, two female wrestlers who would have never had a chance in WWE five years ago. As an aside - yes it's great to see the Divas division coming along nicely and women being given multiple segments, but one of those segments should never be allowed to be a match between Summer Rae and Brie Bella. It€™s 2016. Stop it.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
