It's almost ironic that Sting will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame after his single year in the company managed to damage his 30-year professional wrestling legacy. There was no hotter wrestler in WWE than Sting heading into WrestleMania 31, with long-time wrestling fans all over the world on the edge of their seats awaiting the The Icons debut WWE match. Instead of being portrayed and utilised as the once-in-a-lifetime acquisition he was, Sting was used to job to Triple H at 'Mania in a clear attempt to assert WWE's dominance over every other wrestling company that ever existed. His one other pay-per-view match, a nonsensical WWE Championship match against Seth Rollins, may end up being his last. As the single most successful wrestler to never join WWE, it's hard to believe that the same fans who awaited the Stinger's debut now completely disregard him after one of the biggest booking blunders of all time. Well done, WWE. Well done.
Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
