10 Biggest WWE Creative Mistakes Of 2019 (So Far)

1. The Wild Card Rule

ROMAN REIGNS BOO
WWE

While the Wild Card Rule's implementation has succeeded in creating a sense of chaos around Raw and SmackDown ("you just never know who's going to show up, Corey!"), the damage it has done to WWE's undermined middle and lower tiers means it'll take a Herculean effort for creative to devise a worse idea throughout the remainder of the year.

Wrestlers whose opportunities were already limited prior beforehand now have even less of a chance of making it onto TV. The best these performers can hope for is a spot in the 24/7 Championship's chasing pack, where they might get a single line of dialogue. Otherwise, they're sitting backstage twiddling their thumbs as the likes of Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, and Seth Rollins go from brand to brand, widening the gap between WWE's haves and have nots to a gaping chasm.

Remember Buddy Murphy? He hasn't been seen on SmackDown since joining in April's Superstar Shake-Up. Ali has disappeared after looking like a hot prospect earlier this year. Asuka, Kairi Sane, Matt Hardy, Rusev, Shinsuke Nakamura, and countless others haven't wrestled since April or May.

This thing has been a widescale catastrophe that will only burn fans out on those who cross over going forward. It needs to go.
