9. Brock Lesnar As The Dominant WWE Champion That Is Not Around

When Brock Lesnar returned to WWE in April 2012 we were informed that he had a contract that saw him wrestle only four times over the course of twelve months. If Lesnar worked a full time schedule and was on the road more often, WWE likely would have put the WWE Title on him immediately because he's such a great heel along with his advocate Paul Heyman. Following Lesnar's victory over The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30 (we'll get to that later), the reports were out there that Lesnar was going to become the WWE Champion at SummerSlam. He decimated John Cena to become WWE Champion. It was one of the most impressive performances ever. After it was over, many of us actually thought he might wrestle a bit more often as the WWE Champion. We were wrong. Lesnar wrestled at Night of Champions in September, actually lost to Cena by disqualification and he hasn't appeared on WWE TV since then. His next expected appearance is December 15 as WWE prepares for the Royal Rumble match likely against Cena again. The absence of the WWE Champion has been explained by Heyman as something like WrestleMania or Christmas where you might get spoiled if it happened more often. It's a nice explanation on WWE's part, but most fans are upset that Lesnar isn't around and neither is the WWE Title. It does more harm than good. We may never experience another situation where the WWE Champion goes four months without defending the title again. Lesnar's reign has been historic although not in the positive way that you want it to be.
