Many WWE fans might not immediately recognise Bill DeMott, as he never did much of note on screen for the company. He was a holdover from the WWFs takeover of WCW, but spent most of his time on the SmackDown B-show, Velocity. These days, DeMott is known better for being a trainer in WWE developmental, and a controversial one at that. He was the head trainer at Deep South Wrestling, and was heavily criticised by future international superstar Kenny Omega, who left developmental due to his poor treatment. Recently, former developmental talent Kevin Matthews revealed some of DeMotts bizarre training practices from his time in DSW. Talent were made to perform hindu squats on the turnbuckles while others criss-crossed the ropes, and a picture was leaked of Luke Gallows giving Zack Ryder a naked stinkface. DeMott was replaced in DSW by Dr. Tom Prichard, but returned to WWE as the head trainer on the relaunched Tough Enough. Not long after, he took over from Prichard as head trainer at Florida Championship Wrestling, and retained the position when it became NXT. DeMott is still surrounded by controversy, and has been once again accused of misconduct by former trainees, including Dolph Zigglers brother Briley. Rumours have also been circulating about tension between DeMott and Triple Hs right hand man, William Regal and at this point it may seem like DeMott is more trouble than hes worth.
