For most of Adam Roses WWE developmental career he was Leo Kruger, the ruthless and calculating big game hunter. He was placed on house shows as far back as 2011, and was postioned as one of the main event stars of the rebranded NXT when it changed its focus in 2012. After all that time and development as Leo Kruger, it seemed bizarre when he began wrestling NXT live events as the party boy Adam Rose. NXT fans had invested their time into the Kruger character, and Rose seemed like such a departure from the Kraven The Hunter-esque persona they were used to. All fears were allayed when Rose debuted on NXT, and instantly won over the crowd with his Rosebuds and catchy entrance music. He got over so quickly that the Adam Rose character was called up to the main roster within two months of his first NXT appearance. Since then, the jokes worn very thin and the partys over. Fans enjoyed Rose antics for the first few weeks, but the character is incredibly one-dimensional and repetitive, and he was quickly relegated to the undercard. There is still hope for Rose, who is currently undergoing some serious character development and progression in his new quasi-heel role. Time will tell if it can be salvaged, but if worst comes to worst, theres always Leo Kruger to fall back on.
