The Prime Time Players won the Tag Team Titles for the first time at Money in the Bank on June 14. Then they beat the former champions The New Day at Battleground on July 19. Despite that loss, The New Day are still in the title picture because they are doing everything they can to annoy the champions. Why are The New Day still annoying the PTPers? Because WWE wants to put the tag titles back on them since they are the best team in the company. There just aren't a lot of heel teams for the PTPers to face. The only true heel team other than New Day are The Ascension, and it's not like they are going to get a tag title shot any time soon, is it?. It looks as though there may be a multi-team tag match at SummerSlam with the Lucha Dragons and Los Matadores also in the mix, but it makes sense for The New Day to emerge as champions. They can get the pin by beating a team other than the champs in order to get a rematch. In addition to all that, Jey Uso should be back from his shoulder injury in the next month or two, so a feud with The New Day defending the gold against The Usos to end the year makes a lot more sense than the PTPers holding the gold. Put your hands together and clap because it's time for The New Day to get back their gold (or bronze) titles.
